A clearer signal
A redesigned status page includes private service reports and incident timelines. Reports from five different members open a public review log, with account and network limits.
Open statusThese terms explain how accounts, community spaces, membership features, content, reports, and appeals work. They are written to be readable as well as practical: start with the summary, then use the contents to jump to a section that matters to you.
These Terms of Service govern access to Secret Sauce, including accounts, direct messages, servers, channels, profiles, search, reports, and optional membership features. The Terms apply to members, server owners, moderators, and people who access public parts of the service.
When registration or a material policy update asks you to acknowledge these Terms, read them before continuing. If you do not agree, do not use the account features covered by that notice. Other notices shown for a feature may add specific conditions; if they conflict, the more specific notice applies to that feature to the extent permitted by law.
You must be legally able to use the service in your location and meet any age requirements that apply to you. A parent or guardian should supervise a minor's use where required by law. Do not create an account if doing so would violate a restriction that applies to you.
Registration details must be accurate enough for account operation and recovery. Keep your password private, use a unique password, and contact support promptly if you believe someone has accessed your account. You are responsible for activity performed through your account, except where applicable law provides otherwise.
Each account receives a public six-digit account tag so people can distinguish members with similar usernames. The tag is an identifier, not a password, verification code, or proof of identity. Do not use a tag to authenticate another person or to claim that an account belongs to someone else.
SauceCrew+ members can change their tag in Profile settings, subject to availability and these Terms. Secret Sauce may reserve, replace, or correct a tag to address impersonation, abuse, system errors, or legal requirements. Usernames, profile text, avatars, status messages, and tags must not impersonate another person or mislead members about official affiliation.
Secret Sauce provides communication and community tools. Features may be updated, limited, or retired as the service develops. We will use reasonable care when making changes that materially affect paid features, and we will present applicable purchase terms before a paid commitment.
Availability can be affected by maintenance, outages, security incidents, network providers, and third-party services. We do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation. This does not remove any non-excludable service guarantees or remedies under applicable law.
You keep ownership of content you create, to the extent you own it. You give Secret Sauce a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free permission to host, store, reproduce, format, and display that content only as reasonably needed to operate, secure, support, and improve the service and to deliver it to the people or servers you choose.
You confirm that you have the rights needed to post the content and grant this limited permission. Do not upload malware, stolen credentials, private information without a lawful basis, or content that infringes another person's rights. You can remove content using available controls, although copies may remain in backups, quoted messages, moderation records, or legal retention systems for a limited operational or legal purpose.
Use the service in a way that respects other members and the law. The standards below are a practical guide, not an exhaustive list. They apply to profile content, messages, media, reactions, invitations, server names, and off-platform conduct that creates a credible safety risk within a Secret Sauce community.
Do not harass, threaten, stalk, discriminate against, exploit, or impersonate another person; expose private information; evade enforcement; spam, phish, or distribute malicious content; infringe intellectual property; manipulate access controls; or interfere with the service. Do not encourage others to do these things. Context, severity, prior history, safety risk, and applicable law may affect how a report is handled.
Server owners can create channels, set server rules, assign roles, and configure permissions. Owners and moderators must use those controls responsibly, explain community expectations, and take reasonable steps to prevent foreseeable abuse in spaces they manage.
A server role is a community permission, not employment, platform staff status, or an endorsement by Secret Sauce. Server owners must not use roles to impersonate Secret Sauce or its staff. Platform Trust & Safety may investigate serious safety concerns and take service-level action where appropriate; this does not give staff control over every ordinary server decision.
You can report a member, message, server, or other supported item from the relevant screen or through the Individual user report section below. Include the account or content, what happened, and enough context to locate it. Do not submit passwords, payment card details, government identifiers, or unrelated sensitive information.
Reports are visible to authorised Trust & Safety reviewers and may be retained with moderation records. Submitting a report does not guarantee a specific outcome or response time. Do not knowingly submit false or retaliatory reports. You can review your report history on this page while signed in.
Depending on the circumstances, Secret Sauce may remove content, limit a feature, restrict a server, suspend an account, or permanently disable an account. We consider the available evidence, the risk of harm, prior conduct, and legal obligations. Where practical, we will show an account holder the reason and duration of a restriction.
An authenticated member with a restricted account can visit the Appeals page, review the stated reason, and submit one active appeal using the 30-question form. Answer only what is relevant; 'Not applicable' is acceptable. Appeals are reviewed by authorised staff and may be approved, declined, or closed with an explanation. An appeal does not automatically pause an action or guarantee reinstatement. Account deletion marked permanent is not reversible through the appeal process.
You can manage report and appeal history from this Terms page and the Appeals page. Appeal answers and internal reviewer records are restricted to authorised Trust & Safety employees.
SauceCrew+ is an optional membership intended to add profile customisation and community features. The benefits shown on the current product page describe the planned feature set and may change as features are built, provided we honour any paid commitment and applicable law.
A paid plan is not available for purchase until Stripe checkout displays the exact price, billing interval, renewal terms, cancellation method, and any trial or refund conditions before you confirm. No payment is authorised by reading this page. Eligible Secret Sauce staff receive complimentary access while they hold the required staff role.
Secret Sauce names, marks, interface elements, and original platform materials belong to their respective owners. You may use the service as provided, but may not copy, sell, or present platform materials as your own except where the law or written permission allows it.
If you believe content on Secret Sauce infringes your rights, submit a report with the relevant location and enough information to identify the work and your authority to act. We may request additional details before taking action.
Secret Sauce processes account details, profile information, messages, reports, device/session information, and service activity to operate accounts, deliver communications, protect members, investigate reports, and meet legal obligations. Access to reports and appeal answers is limited to authorised reviewers for those purposes.
Share only information needed for the task. In particular, the appeal questionnaire is not a request for medical records, government ID, financial information, or other highly sensitive personal details. Use the Privacy & Security controls in Settings to review available account choices. If you need access or correction help, contact the service through the support or reporting controls.
Some features may rely on providers such as hosting, media search, or payment services. Those providers may have separate terms and privacy practices. Secret Sauce does not control a third party's independent service, and a link does not mean that Secret Sauce endorses every statement or product there.
Use third-party services only under their applicable terms. Where a provider processes information for a Secret Sauce feature, the service should disclose the relevant provider and purpose through the applicable feature or privacy notice.
To the extent the law permits, the service is provided on an 'as available' basis and we do not promise that every feature will meet every individual requirement. Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts, or modifies a consumer guarantee, statutory right, remedy, or other protection that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
Where Australian Consumer Law applies, consumer guarantees for services and any available remedies continue to apply. Any limitation of liability in these Terms operates only to the extent permitted by applicable law and does not apply to liability that cannot legally be limited.
We may update these Terms as the service changes or to meet legal, security, or operational needs. The version number and update date appear above. If an update materially affects your rights or paid features, we will provide a notice and request acknowledgement where required.
You may stop using the service and use available account controls to request closure. Some records may be retained where needed for safety, fraud prevention, legal compliance, dispute handling, or backup recovery, subject to applicable law. To ask a question or request review, use Support in the official community or submit a report through the controls on this page.
These examples help members understand expected conduct. Labels indicate typical severity, not an automatic outcome. Trust & Safety considers the full context, safety risk, and applicable law when reviewing a case.
Report an account for conduct that may violate these Terms. Include the username, the relevant context, and what you want reviewers to examine. Do not include account passwords, payment details, or information about other people that is not needed for the review.
Use this private account view to see the status of reports you submitted and any appeal decisions associated with your account.
