A useful guide, from your first login onward.

Your case appears in My requests on the support portal. Keep its reference number when following up, and protect the account you use to access it.

Return to My requests while signed in with the same support identity. Replies stay in the ticket. Add relevant context using the reply form and avoid sharing passwords or financial details.

For in-app abuse, right-click the message, account, or server and choose Report. The report workspace keeps the target details while you write. A Safety concern ticket is also available through a separate support account if you cannot access your Sauce account.

/timeout @member 10m repeated spam prevents a member from sending for the chosen duration. Supported durations range from one minute to 28 days. Use /untimeout @member reviewed and resolved to remove it.

/kick @member reason removes membership while allowing a later return. /ban @member reason blocks rejoining. These actions respect protected accounts and the server hierarchy and create audit entries.

Arrival notices go to the read-only #joinlogs channel. Duplicate ModTime roles are consolidated while preserving member assignments and channel restrictions. The member list shows each person once under their highest role.

Use the server “+” control to create a server or join with an invite. Add text and forum channels, group channels into named categories, and drag channels to set their order.

Make roles for the responsibilities in your community, give them colours and permissions, assign several roles to a member, and drag roles to change their order. Server owners can manage their own role assignments too.

Use a start channel for introductions and directions. Keep guidelines easy to find, explain channel topics, and use view/send permissions so members know where to post.

Right-click a server to open it, invite an accepted friend, report it, manage it, or leave. Private friend invitations are single-use links that expire after seven days and require Create Invites permission.

The linked Official badge means Trust & Safety has designated the space as run by Secret Sauce. Official designation makes the server open, adds ModTimeBot for scoped moderation, and assigns the Employee role to staff. Permanent closure requires an audited staff action and cannot be reversed with the standard restore control.

A Partner badge identifies a community with a recognised Secret Sauce partnership. The badge does not grant platform staff control, change the server owner, or give members additional moderation permissions.

Standard members can use a static profile picture and choose a banner colour. SauceCrew+ members can select animated KLIPY media for an avatar or banner. Your profile image is shared across the site.

Add a display name, short bio, pronouns, custom status, and profile tags from Settings. SauceCrew+ unlocks additional profile styling and animated effects.

Badges identify membership or community contributions. The house application asks about your preferences and matches you to a community house; your house badge appears on your profile.

Use the relevant Report control, describe what happened, and include the message or account involved. Reports are sent privately to Trust & Safety for review.

If an account is suspended, sign in to see the notice and appeal option. The Appeals page guides you through the questions and shows the status of your own submissions.

The Terms of Service explain member expectations, prohibited behaviour, reporting, moderation, and how to contact the team.

Open Developer Studio, choose a server where you have Manage Server permission, and create an integration with a clear name and writable text channel. Apply moderator-academy-social-migration.sql and server-webhooks-migration.sql to your D1 database if their tables are not already installed.

Create an application profile with a name, image, colour, font, and optional footer. Then connect that profile to a webhook. New webhook messages will show the selected identity in the server channel.

When created, the integration shows a long bearer secret once. Copy it directly into the external service’s secret manager. Secret Sauce stores only a SHA-256 hash, never displays the secret again, and lets a server manager revoke it at any time.

Send an HTTP POST to the displayed endpoint with an Authorization: Bearer YOUR_SECRET header and a JSON body such as {"content":"Build 42 is ready."}. Messages are limited to 2,000 characters, mention notifications are disabled, and each webhook can send up to 30 messages per minute.

Webhooks cannot post into another server’s channel, a locked or read-only channel, or a server placed under restriction. Revoking a webhook immediately invalidates its credential.
