Start with the community, then shape your own corner as you get comfortable.
Secret Sauce is a community platform for direct conversations and member-run servers. You can join the official community, find other public spaces, make a server for your group, and manage your profile and notifications from account settings.
Select Create an account, choose a username and password, and follow the welcome steps. New accounts are added to the official Secret Sauce server automatically so you have somewhere to start.
Visit the official server’s #start-here channel for the community guide. Read the Terms of Service, then say hello in the official server. You can also browse Discover or use the server button to create a space for your friends.
Yes. Everyone can create a server. Give it a name and a short introduction; Secret Sauce sets up a starting channel and guides you through channels, member roles, colours, permissions, and invitations. You can change the setup later.
A server is the home for a group or topic. Channels organise the conversations inside it. Owners can create text, announcement, and forum channels, choose who can read or post, and give members roles with clear permissions.
Select a member’s name or avatar to open their profile preview. Choose View profile for their full profile, badges, bio, status, and shared community details. You can also copy a user ID from the user context menu.
Open the profile menu in the lower-left corner and choose Account settings. Add a photo, display name, pronouns, a short status, a bio, and your preferred theme. Status and profile controls are always available to members.
Use Report on a message, profile, or server, or open the Individual user report section on the Terms of Service page. Trust & Safety reviews reports privately. Include the relevant message or account and a clear description so the team can investigate.
Community houses are friendly identity badges for different ways of contributing. Take the personality application from the House badges page; the Community Assistant bot matches your answers to a house and sends you a welcome note.
SauceCrew+ is an optional membership planned to include GIF chat, animated emoji, expanded profile customisation, and room to join up to 50 servers. Pricing and Stripe checkout are still being prepared, so no payment is taken yet.
Submit a report from the relevant message or profile. If your account is suspended, sign in to read the reason and submit an appeal. Official notices and community actions are also recorded in your messages.
Yes. Account settings include notification sounds, browser alerts, themes, text sizing, reduced motion, and other display preferences. You can adjust these later without losing your messages or server memberships.
You can browse the public information pages first, then create an account when you’re ready to join in.
